Uzi has made eight different tactical pens each with its own unique set of features. Uzi sells these tactical pens at very affordable prices for everyone. They all have different styles to fit your tastes. All these pens are very well constructed and sturdy for its price range. They are good entry-level tactical pens. All of these pens are compatible with standard, Parker and fisher space cartridges. I have compiled a helpful little chart that summarizes each pen’s features. Below I have in-depth reviews on each version of the UZI tactical pens.

Uzi Tactical Pen 1

This UZI tactical defense pen has a gray or black anodized aluminum body with a crown tip DNA Catcher at one end of the pen. The DNA catcher is especially useful for officers of the law or women. It allows them to get a DNA sample from an assailant/attacker. The retractable pen tip twists to open and close. It weighs a modest 1.6 ounces. This pen has ribbing around it to provide an excellent grip. Unlike other tactical pens, the writing quality of this pen is quite good.

Uzi Tactical Pen 2

This UZI tactical defense pen has a gray anodized aluminum body with a glass breaker tip. The glass breaker tip is especially useful if you are stuck in a car after an accident or if someone else is stuck in the car and you need to extricate them. It has been tested to easily break car windows glass without much damage to the tip. This pen weighs a little less at 1.5 ounces. The retractable pen tip twists merely to open and close. The pen has a jimping on the side which provides an excellent grip while writing. The grip while in a self-defense situation is a little better than the grip provided by the UZI tactical pen 1.

Uzi Tactical Pen 3

This UZI Tactical Defense Pen has a gray or black aluminum body with a crown tip DNA Catcher that unscrews to reveal a handcuff key. The handcuff key is useful for law enforcers who lost their key or want an alternative to their key. This pen weighs 1.7 ounces putting it slightly on the heavy side. The retractable pen tip twists to open and close. It looks the same as the UZI tactical pen one only with the addition of the hidden handcuff key.

Uzi Tactical Pen 4

This UZI Tactical Defense Pen has a gray or black aluminum body with a glass breaker tip with a handcuff key. In this pen, the handcuff key is on external instead of internal as in the UZI tactical pen 3.This pen weighs the same as the UZI tactical defense pen two at 1.5 ounces. The retractable pen tip twists merely to open and close. The knurling on the enclosure provides a good grip. The only negative point of this pen is that the handcuff key is part of the pocket clip and the way it works is by loosening it with your hand and then turning it to use the handcuff key. I feel it makes it a little bit tedious if you want to use the handcuff key. The aesthetic of the pocket clip negatively affects the aesthetics of the tactical pen as a whole.

Uzi Tactical Pen 5

This Uzi Tactical defense Pen comes in a few more colors than its counterparts. It comes in red, blue, black and gray. This is the only UZI tactical pen that comes in so many different colors. This pen, unlike the first four revisions, has a cap. This pen is one of the lightest of them all at 1.2 ounces. The build quality of the UZI tactical pen 5 is better than versions one to four. The pocket clip of this pen is a little small compared to the others which means that there is a chance that it may not fit in your dress pocket. This pen also has a glass breaker tip. It is radically and updated version of the UZI tactical pen 2.

Uzi Tactical Pen 6

This UZI Tactical Defense Pen has a gray or black aluminum body with a glass breaker tip and a handcuff key. Unlike the UZI tactical pen four, this pen has a hidden handcuff key. It has a retractable pen tip that you can twist to open and close. This pen is one of the heaviest of them all at 1.8 ounces. This pen is an updated version of the UZI tactical pen 4.

Uzi Tactical Pen 7

This UZI Tactical Defense Pen has a gray or black aluminum body with a glass breaker tip. The top and bottom have holes for a key ring/chain attachment. It weighs the same as the UZI tactical pen five at 1.8 ounces. The tip of this tactical pen is one of the sharpest of them all. Unlike some of the other pens in the UZI tactical pen line, this one feels less tactical and more businesslike.

Uzi Tactical Pen 8

This UZI Tactical Defense Pen has a gray or black aluminum body with a glass breaker tip. The top and bottom have holes for a key ring/chain attachment. It has a retractable pen tip that you can twist to open and close. Even though it has the same features as the UZI tactical pen seven, it has an entirely different design. It is more tactical looking than the UZI tactical pen seven but less tactical than the most tactical looking UZI tactical pen.
